I endeavour to retain the essence of the gnarled bark and exquisitely patterned scribbles in my figures. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\"\u003eI have been painting with oils on canvas since I was nine, and after leaving school I was unofficially apprenticed to a master artist in Perth for a few years.
