Early in his childhood it become evident that he loved to work with his hands - \u003cbr\u003ecarving, drawing and painting. As a teenager he would escape Melbourne to venture \u003cbr\u003edown the rugged Victorian coastline and revel in surfing and his love of the wind, the sea, \u003cbr\u003eand the freedom nature provided. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAfter studying and practicing architecture for four years, Sergio embarked on a different \u003cbr\u003ejourney enrolling in an Art and Design course at Preston Institute of Technology. In 1979, \u003cbr\u003ehe set a Pottery Studio in Hawthorn Victoria, later relocating to Upper Lansdowne in the \u003cbr\u003eNSW mid-north coast. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHis artistic passion continued to evolve and 1990 took him from the pottery-wheel to the \u003cbr\u003eeasel. His love for the sea inspired him to move to Sydney's Central Coast were set up a \u003cbr\u003estudio\/gallery in 1997. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSergio likes to punctuate his painting with intermittent trends of inspiration from the \u003cbr\u003ewonders of nature and exotic lands where the eye, heart and soul find tranquility, joy, \u003cbr\u003emoments of beauty in stillness and transcending into a profound reality.
