Christine Hyde is an accomplished award-winning Blue Mountains artist who has established a loyal following of her work. A contemporary visual artist, she draws inspiration from nature and her ethereal paintings are an intuitive response to the intimacies of landscape and her personal connection to place.
Created in flowing inks and polymers and punctuated with textural gestures, veils of flowing semi-transparent glazes and pigments develop an ethereal, luminous finish of each artwork. Ultra-smooth polypropylene and canvases provide the supports for her expressionist art, narrating her responses to the natural world which surrounds her Blue Mountains Studio on the edge of the World Heritage Listed National Park.
