For the Love of Trees by Sue Gasser

We are lucky enough to have Sue as one of our consignment artists, and her work constantly stuns viewers with the sheer detail she is able to achieve using pastel! We are thrilled to be hosting this exhibition of works - which will coincide with Clay: My Personal Dialogue, a fabulous exhibition of ceramic objects by Therese McMahon.
'Who can deny the splendour of a tree,
Their branches reach up like arms in a form of worship,
They provide a place of rest and shelter for our wildlife
in the heat of the day and the storm, a home and food for some.
They can be clothed in royal garla, consider the purple Jacaranda
and the gold of the wattle,
the changing colours of their leaves in Autumn a display of brilliance,
and the colours of their bark as they shed and renew.
The snowgum like an artists palette with is design and colour.
They provide oxygen for us to breath,
and at the end of their lifes wood for our fires to keep us warm.
If only they could talk they'd have many a story to tell.
Who can deny the splendour of a tree!'
