Curating Matters #44 highlights Luke Abdallah's solo art exhibition, opening tomorrow 12-22 October 2023 and his live painting performances taking place at the 'Block Party'. Luke is a grant recipient for the 'Block Party' and will demonstrate various painting techniques with performances located at Gallery NWC: L1, 62 Atchison Street, St Leonards at 7pm + 8pm, Friday 20 October.
Born totally blind and living with elective mutism, Abdallah incorporates multi-sensory inspiration into his works, often drawing expressiveness from a myriad of stimuli - sound, smell, texture, vibration and taste.
