NEW WORK BY MARTIN SHALIAPIN
Katherine KennedyWe are so thrilled to have received a beautiful new selection of work by Martin Shaliapin, including Sunlight on Katoomba Falls (image).
Born in Sydney, NSW, Martin has always been interested in drawing and took interest in his mother's painting process. He previously worked as a Harley Davidson Technician and Merchant Seafarer, spending much of the year at sea. Martin still has a keen interest in restoring vintage motorcycles and is also a musician, playing drums with various performers and bands.
He has travelled the world many times over and uses his overseas experience to influence his artwork. Martin has produced many artworks in various mediums such as oils, acrylics, pastels, graphite, charcoal and engraving. Mostly, he tends to concentrate on landscapes and seascapes in oil paints with a true love and appreciation of the natural environment, light and atmospheric influences.
