ARTIST STATEMENT
Sue Gasser has been a professional artist for most of her life. She has a natural talent which was discovered in her childhood. After experimenting with various mediums she has found her passion with pastels. Sue finds this medium brings out the softness and detail she requires for her subjects.
As she lives in the Blue Mountains of NSW her subjects are in abundance and her love for animals is evident in her paintings of wildlife & domestic, where she brings out the fine detail of fur & feathers.
She has had many successful exhibitions and won many awards with the most prestigious 'The Art Awards of Sydney' one of her paintings was purchased by the Blue Mountains City Council as a gift for the Mayor Sandra Japan.
Sue's works are represented in many countries and across Australia. She enjoys tutoring up and coming artists and says it's a pleasure to help and encourage others.
It is the beauty and diversity of creation that inspires Sue and being an artist it makes you stop and take it in.
