Self-taught artist, Renée Mitchell’s finely-hones line work reference a detailed knowledge of technical drawing combined with a love of expression and movement.
A passion for pens and a love of freedom and movement can be seen in Mitchell’s largest body of works. In her Scratch Series wildlife pieces and still life alike show fine detail and lose line working together in harmony to bring the subject to life. A portion of these works combine pen and acrylic paint offering a mixed media contemporary take on the traditional portrait and still life.
