Leonie Robison’s art practice is in the main made up of mixed media paintings and drawings, incorporating collage and abstract and realistic imagery. These can be layers of papers, paint, or even antique dolls.
Leonie enjoys the extra subtlety and mystique as well as the visual depth that the juxtaposition of various elements and the subtle layering produces. This draws in the viewer to a greater appreciation of Leonie’s artistry as well as welcoming a closer inspection to engender a greater understanding of the issues highlighted and hidden in each work.
