What Remains - Embellishing Heritage CONTINUES
What Remains - Embellishing Heritage CONTINUES

The images in this exhibition have been created using manipulated photographs of the site of The Chateau Napier and of collected artefacts, particularly glass fragments, melted in the 1957 fire. Paper is painted and augmented and finally embellished with embroidery, reflecting on an artform that is a predominantly female space of decoration often serving to preserve memory.
This beautiful exhibition by Erica Cameron-Taylor, which reflects on local memory and heritage, continues until September 28th - we highly recommend you visit us.
Gallery NWC is open 10am - 4pm, Thursday - Sunday, and Monday by appointment only.
