My work generally since 2022 is reflective of the questions I ask, the observations I make and my responses to life's experiences. I think about resilience, character, value systems, evidence, illusions, perceptions of beauty and worth, frailty, fun, grief, expectations, acceptance…..the usual gritty stuff. I don’t really plan my work, i just let it happen (often while I’m listening to a true crime podcast!).

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Karin's ceramics are handbuilt with a spirit of freedom and experimentation—functional forms that balance nostalgia, texture, and fun. Her signature pieces, from cups to vases, carry what she describes as a distinctive “junkyard feel,” where every surface tells a story through layers of oxides, slips, and underglazes.
