ARTIST BIO
Michael creates his images using vintage film cameras and lenses. He develops and scans colour and b/w film, then prints on archival photographic 100% rag papers with pigment inks. This allows him to control all aspects of the creative process.
His work is held in private and public collections including NSW State Library, WA State Library, Muswellbrook Regional Art Centre and the Blue Mountains Culture Centre. He was a finalist in the Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize 2022. Recent exhibitions include Blue Mountains Culture Centre Acquisitions collection 2024, the Shop Gallery Glebe 2021, 2022, and 2024 and Blue Mountains Portrait Prize 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.
