ARTIST BIO
Residing and immersed in the picturesque Moreton Bay region of Brisbane since mid-2021, Kaz brings over two decades of expertise as an art consultant to her art practice. Formerly based in Sydney, she spearheaded art programs for significant public and commercial projects, backed by a BA in Art History and Theory from the University of Sydney. Kaz honed her skills and artistic voice through workshops with seasoned practitioners during her tenure in that vibrant city.
After returning to Queensland, Kaz established her studio in Scarborough on the Redcliffe peninsula. The untamed landscapes surrounding her provide a constant wellspring of inspiration for her semi-abstract paintings. These artworks delve into recognizable organic forms while using abstraction to elicit a profound sense of the universe's vastness and unbridled nature.
“Exploration in Art”
I am amazed by the enchanting dance of colours, unfolding in unexpected ways. I love to explore layers of interest and intricacy. There is a profound satisfaction in dismantling and reconstructing elements into something wholly original creating an harmonious fusion of beauty and imagination.
Nature is the greatest inspiration, from the vibrant hues of a blooming flower discovered during a morning stroll to the graceful silhouettes of trees adorning the landscape near my tropical home.
I'm captivated by the elegant harmony found in well-designed artworks, each brushstroke telling its own story and contributing to a narrative rich with emotion and expression. My aim is to imbue my work with a sense of movement and organised chaos reflecting a the boundless energy and spontaneity of life itself.
Ultimately, I seek to distil the essence of the world around me into moments of timeless beauty.
