ARTIST STATEMENT - THE UNTAMED CENTRE SERIES

Before settling down in Australia I became a TAA flight hostess and embraced the opportunity of flying over this vast country, and valued the opportunity of seeing a country of such extremes, colours, temperature, drought, floods, people and places. Once again the artist in me took over. I paint a mythical figure crossing the country, like a giant taking huge steps over the country below. I feel privileged to have had this experience and need to paint what I felt at the time... and now share with you.
