My work generally since 2022 is reflective of the questions I ask, the observations I make and my responses to life's experiences. I think about resilience, character, value systems, evidence, illusions, perceptions of beauty and worth, frailty, fun, grief, expectations, acceptance…..the usual gritty stuff. I don’t really plan my work, I just let it happen (often while I’m listening to a true crime podcast!).

ARTIST STATEMENT
"Pots of grief”
These pots are a symbol of grief. An inescapable human experience, grief can be unbearably painful. The weight of the experience alters us and reshapes us. Hopefully we learn to adapt and live with it. The rusty lines that meander around the pot are our tears and our sadness. The pot still stands despite its distortions. Light and colour reside in contrast to the darkness, like fond memories and future hopes. The changed form with its hollows and scars and colour creeping through, is no less beautiful.
