ARTIST STATEMENT
This is a version of the enchanting Carrington Hotel that I see as an artist, simplifying formal garden elements that are not always viewed separately but viewed in a more contemporary standpoint. The Carrington Hotel opened in 1883 and now heritage listed, owes its charm to the collaboration of many designers over many years yet still retains its Victorian Italianate values.
