"I wish the viewer to be transported into the imagery I have created. If it is a landscape, to visually wander around and feel uplifted and entranced by colours and shapes that I have been inspired to depict. If it is a bird, then see them as characters in a story I have set the scene for, with the viewer being the co-writer of the story."
ARTIST STATEMENT
For me, painting is all about the process. With an electric palette and layered application of brush strokes, I portray a vivid interpretation of the subjects around me that inspire. My focus is colour. I rejoice in seeing its subtleties in nature and then interpret it onto canvas in a saturated form.
